Do the Pixel 7, 8 and 9 have eSIM? Two eSIMs explained
Yes, the Pixel 7, Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 families support eSIM. Google's own pages cover 12 models here, and Google names the Pixel 7 as the earliest phone for using 2 eSIM profiles at once when the carrier allows it.

Google's list covers 12 Pixel 7 to 9 models
Google's own Get a SIM or eSIM page, read 2026-09-30, says all Pixel 4 and later phones work with eSIM. The 12 models in this group are Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and Pixel 9a. Google's page does not list these models one by one. Its "Pixel 4 and later" line is what puts them all in.
Google names 2 eSIM profiles for Pixel 7 and later
Google's own Dual SIM page gives 2 conditions for using 2 eSIM profiles at once. The phone must be a Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, or a later phone, and the carrier must allow the feature. The Pixel 7 is therefore the earliest phone Google names for this setup. Google describes adding a second eSIM through Settings, Network & internet, SIMs, Add SIM.
Google also says that, based on the device and carrier, a Pixel can use either 2 eSIMs or one eSIM and one physical SIM. The same page says Pixel 4a (5G) and later phones in dual SIM mode can connect to 5G networks.
Your carrier decides whether the second eSIM works
The carrier condition applies to the dual-eSIM feature. Google's own Dual SIM page says DSDS and eSIM work with some mobile carriers, and it tells users to ask their mobile carrier whether they will work with the phone. Google's own model list answers the device question. The carrier still decides whether the selected dual-SIM setup is available.
Check the phone and plan before buying
Google says eSIM use depends on the phone and the mobile carrier, so check with your carrier before buying a plan. Google's pages say that in the US, Pixel 10 phones (except the Pixel 10 Pro Fold) can only use an eSIM. Pixel 10 phones have a separate page on this site, so they are outside the 12-model group covered here.
